Clarify commissioning, service access, updates, account ownership and the process when the homeowner or router changes.

A companion device cannot correct a deteriorated bus, an inappropriate enclosure or a missing required protective function. Existing equipment still needs to be suitable. Likewise, a smart panel is not an energy source: a generator or battery supplies backup power.
A designed energy-management system may be relevant when considering EV charging or another large load, but it does not universally eliminate the need for a service upgrade. Confirm the property-specific design and jurisdictional requirements.
