Compare a specific model, not just the SPAN name.

The current range includes different sizes and arrangements. MAIN 40 is one documented example with 40 controlled spaces, a 225-amp bus and specified 100–200-amp main configurations. Those are model ratings, not proof that an existing home has 225 amps of service capacity.

Breaker compatibility is especially important. The MAIN 40 documentation specifies supported branch-breaker systems and pigtail protective devices rather than assuming plug-on-neutral compatibility. Use the current model’s guide for every proposed device.
