What Happens After You Send the Form

Here is the whole process, start to finish, including which parts are free and which are not. Estimates and the visual assessment on arrival cost you nothing. A diagnostic, where one is needed, is a paid service and your electrician tells you the fee before starting.

  1. We Contact You

Our office calls to understand what is going on and to answer anything you want to ask before we come out.

  2. We Schedule Your Appointment

We book a window that works around your day. Same-day where we can, and we hold slots for genuine emergencies.

  3. Free Visual Assessment

Your electrician carries out a complimentary visual, hands-off assessment on arrival, at no charge and with no obligation.

  4. If Needed, We Recommend a Diagnostic

Where the fault has to be traced properly, your electrician recommends a diagnostic and tells you the fee first. Diagnostics are a paid service, and the fee is often discounted from work you approve.

  5. We Present Your Options

You get the repair or replacement options in plain language, priced, with the reasoning behind each one.

  6. You Decide How to Proceed

No pressure and no obligation to book on the spot. Whatever you choose is permitted, inspected where required and backed by our 36-month (3-year) limited parts and labor warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Florida homeowners ask us most before booking.

How fast can you get someone out?

Our office answers the phone 24/7 and we hold slots for urgent work, so same-day or next-day is normal rather than exceptional. If you have a burning smell, a hot panel or a circuit you cannot safely isolate, tell us on the call and we treat it as an emergency.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it. An estimate prices work whose scope you already know, such as a panel replacement, a new receptacle or a whole-home surge protector, and the visual assessment your electrician carries out on arrival is free as well. What is not free is a diagnostic, which is the professional troubleshooting needed to find the root cause of a fault nobody has identified yet. Your electrician tells you whether you need one, and what it costs, before starting.

Why is a diagnostic a paid service?

Because it is skilled work rather than a look around. Tracing an intermittent fault back to its actual cause takes specialist knowledge, test equipment and time, and doing it properly is what stops you paying twice. The fee depends on how complex the problem turns out to be, your electrician sets it after the free visual assessment, and it is frequently discounted from the repair or replacement you approve. A small repair may be completed during the diagnostic where it can be done safely, though that is never guaranteed.

Are you licensed and insured?

Mister Safety is a Certified Electrical Contractor in Florida, license #EC13016024, and we are fully insured. We pull permits under that license and meet the inspector on site for work that requires it.

What areas do you serve?

We serve St. Petersburg, Tampa, The Villages, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills and other listed Florida communities. We are expanding across Florida. Contact us to confirm availability for your address and project.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, through Avvance, Hearth, Synchrony Bank and Wisetack. You can apply with Avvance or see your options with Hearth online before we arrive; Synchrony and Wisetack are presented in person during the estimate, once your electrician knows what the work actually involves. Programs can include 0% interest promotional terms for qualified applicants. Our technicians do not earn more for putting you on a plan, so it gets explained as an option and then left with you.

What makes Mister Safety different?

We are a technician-first electrical company. We invest heavily in our technicians through ongoing training, premium tools, modern vehicles and competitive pay, and we hold them to honesty, professionalism and patience in your home. We are also not a quick-fix company: we correct the cause of a problem rather than the symptom, and recommend a whole-system solution wherever one is practical. Respected technicians take more pride in their work, and that is what you feel on the job.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

Your home. Your choice.
No pressure.

A free estimate is an invitation to get to know us—not a commitment to hire us.

Meet our team, ask questions, and understand your options and what your project will cost. We’ll explain our recommendations clearly and give you room to decide.

If you’re unsure, we can answer questions or explore an option that better fits your needs and budget. If you say no, we respect your decision.

Move forward only when you feel comfortable. We want your confidence, not a pressured yes.

A free estimate prices the work.
A diagnostic finds the problem.

Knowing the difference helps you decide what you need before any work begins.

Free estimate

You know what you’d like installed or replaced, and we can discuss the scope and price without tracing an unknown fault.

Examples: installing a ceiling fan, adding an outlet, or pricing a panel replacement.

We explain your options and pricing so you can decide whether to proceed.

Paid diagnostic

Something isn’t working, and the cause needs to be found through testing and troubleshooting. That investigation is a paid service, separate from a free estimate.

Examples: finding why a breaker keeps tripping, an outlet has lost power, or lights keep flickering.

We explain the diagnostic charge and obtain your approval before troubleshooting begins.

Not sure which you need? Tell us what’s happening. We’ll explain the next step. Requesting a free estimate does not authorize a paid diagnostic or repair.

Free Estimate & Diagnostic Questions

Why is an electrical diagnostic paid when an estimate is free?

A free estimate defines and prices proposed work, such as installing a ceiling fan, adding an outlet, or replacing a panel. It gives you a scope and price to consider before deciding whether to proceed.

A diagnostic is the electrical work of investigating an unknown fault. It involves the electrician’s time, training, testing equipment, and troubleshooting process. We explain the diagnostic price and obtain your approval before starting that investigation.

Is an electrical diagnostic mandatory if I already know what work I want?

You may decline a diagnostic and request an estimate for a specific scope, such as replacing selected outlets or installing a new circuit. We can discuss that work where it is safe and appropriate, but may decline work we cannot responsibly recommend or perform.

If you believe a particular replacement will solve an existing problem, tell the electrician. Without investigating the cause, we cannot promise that the requested replacement will fix it. A diagnostic helps avoid paying for work that misses the underlying problem; it does not guarantee that no electrical issue will ever recur.

If my breaker keeps tripping, do I need a diagnostic or a free estimate?

A diagnostic is used to investigate why a breaker keeps tripping. The symptom alone does not tell us whether the next step is a breaker replacement, a circuit repair, or a different scope of work. Testing helps the electrician recommend work based on what is found.

For example, you may request a free estimate to install a dedicated circuit for a particular appliance. We can price that defined project where appropriate. If your request is to find out why an existing circuit trips, that investigation is paid diagnostic work. Replacing a part at your request without diagnosing the cause does not guarantee the original problem will be resolved.

Is a dead outlet or a GFCI outlet that will not reset a diagnostic?

If you want us to determine why an outlet has no power or why a GFCI will not reset, that is troubleshooting an unknown fault and may require a paid diagnostic. We do not assume that replacing the visible outlet will solve the underlying issue.

If you want a defined project, such as adding an outlet in a home office or replacing selected outlets as part of a room update, we can discuss a free estimate for that scope. The electrician will explain if site conditions or an unresolved fault require a different next step.

What about flickering lights, a light switch, or a ceiling fan?

Installing a new light fixture, replacing a ceiling fan, or adding a switch for a planned project can be priced as defined installation work. Tell us the location, what you want installed, and any access details so we can discuss the scope.

Finding out why lights flicker, why a switch no longer operates a fixture, or why a fan stopped working is a different request. If electrical testing is needed to identify the cause, the electrician will explain the diagnostic charge before proceeding. A free installation estimate does not include tracing an unknown fault.

Can I get a free estimate for an electrical panel replacement or upgrade?

Yes. A request to replace an existing electrical panel or discuss a service upgrade can begin with a free estimate. We review the requested scope and site conditions so the proposal describes the work being priced, including applicable permit and inspection requirements.

For example, planning additional electrical capacity for new equipment is different from asking us to investigate an unexplained loss of power at the panel. If troubleshooting is needed to establish the cause of an existing problem, we explain that separate diagnostic service and its price before starting.

Can I request a free estimate for an EV charger or generator inlet?

Yes. We can discuss a free estimate for a planned EV charger installation, dedicated circuit, generator inlet and interlock kit, or generator installation. The proposal depends on the equipment, location, existing electrical system, and the work needed for that particular project.

Pricing a planned installation is different from troubleshooting an existing charger, inlet, or circuit that is not working. If you need us to investigate an existing malfunction, we explain whether a paid diagnostic is the appropriate next step.

Does the diagnostic include a small repair?

It may include a small repair at the electrician’s discretion when the findings, scope, and conditions make it appropriate and safe. For example, an issue that can be resolved with a minor correction may be handled during the diagnostic rather than requiring a larger project.

A repair is not guaranteed. Some findings require additional materials, more extensive work, or a separately approved repair option. We will not use an unsafe temporary patch just to call the problem fixed. Your electrician will explain what was found and any further options before proceeding.

Is the diagnostic fee added on top of a repair or panel estimate?

The diagnostic is a separate service, but a discount may be available if you approve an eligible higher-priced repair or project option that day. For example, if the findings lead to a larger proposed scope, ask your electrician to show whether that option includes a diagnostic discount.

The discount is not automatic and does not apply to every option. Choosing a diagnostic discount means the qualifying discounted work carries a one-year limited warranty instead of the three-year full-price warranty, as disclosed before approval. Before you approve further work, we explain any eligible discount, its amount, and the total price so you can see what you are paying for.

Can your office tell whether I need a diagnostic before the visit?

Our office collects your description and schedules the arrival window. Details such as which outlets are affected, whether the issue involves a panel or lighting, and what work you want are helpful, but a phone description or photo may not establish the cause.

The electrician may need an on-site visual assessment before explaining whether the next step is a free estimate for defined work or a paid diagnostic. That visual assessment does not include electrical testing or troubleshooting. Any paid investigation is explained and approved before it begins.

What if I understood that troubleshooting would be free?

Please tell us before authorizing work so we can clarify what was discussed. An appointment for a free estimate does not automatically include a free diagnostic for a tripping breaker, dead outlet, or other unknown fault.

If an earlier message or offer said otherwise, we will review it with you and resolve the difference before proceeding. The on-site electrician will explain the proposed scope and any charge so you can decide with a clear understanding.

Does sending the estimate form authorize any diagnostic or repair charge?

No. Submitting your details or booking an estimate does not authorize paid troubleshooting or repairs. Our office calls to confirm the details and schedule your arrival window.

At the visit, we explain the proposed service and price and obtain your approval before starting paid work. You can ask questions, consider your options, and decline a diagnostic or repair.
