The home’s condition
An assessment can organize accessible observations and priorities within an agreed scope.
Understand the condition before choosing the work. An electrical assessment helps you make sense of accessible conditions, unanswered questions and practical next steps for your home.
We confirm the assessment scope, included information and any charge before paid work begins.
Start with the reason for your visit. You do not need to identify a wiring type or diagnose a problem before contacting us.

Discuss existing conditions, proposed equipment and questions to settle before construction.
Share a short description of the request so we can discuss the right electrical scope.
A pricing estimate, an electrical assessment and an insurance form answer different questions. The descriptions below do not mean Mister Safety offers every type of inspection. Confirm the required document before booking.
| Visit or document | Main purpose | Who / important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Free pricing estimate | Price a defined project. | Contractor pricing; unknown-fault investigation is a separate scope. |
| Hands-off visual look | Help identify the appropriate visit. | Not a documented, tested whole-home assessment. |
| Electrician assessment | Understand accessible electrical conditions and priorities. | Qualified electrical personnel within authorized scope; included tests and report confirmed. |
| Electrical diagnostics | Find the cause of a reported malfunction. | Qualified electrical personnel; additional time, access or repair approval may be needed. |
| General home inspection | A limited visual review of multiple readily accessible home systems. | Florida home inspector or applicable statutory exemption; not exhaustive electrical testing. |
| Four-point report | Supply insurer-requested roof, plumbing, HVAC and electrical information. | Signer must meet the insurer’s current requirements. Trade signatures have a limited scope. |
| Permit inspection | Review work under the applicable permit process. | Building authority or authorized inspection arrangement; not a whole-home safety warranty. |
| Requested letter or certificate | Address a specifically defined condition or correction. | Confirm professional and recipient requirements. No generic guarantee of future safety or coverage. |

The visit may include service and panel observations, accessible wiring, representative device checks, protective devices and grounding or bonding concerns. The scope determines which areas can be accessed, which tests are included and what information you receive afterward.
Representative checks mean a selected sample. They do not mean every receptacle, connection or hidden cable was evaluated. An inaccessible area should remain an unanswered question, not become a satisfactory result.
A visual concern or abnormal indication may lead to a targeted correction or a separately agreed diagnostic investigation. Ask which next step is needed and why.

A useful finding connects the location and evidence to a priority, an explicit limit and a next step. The examples below are invented for education; they are not customer records or an official insurer form.
All locations, observations and results below are fictional. No customer, real inspection or certification is represented.
Illustrative priority only. This is not an official code category, insurer grade or completed work record.

Each guide addresses a different decision, from preparing for the visit to interpreting an older-home or grounding concern.
The useful answer is the written scope for your appointment. Ask which electrical areas will be reviewed, which tests are included, what access is needed and what findings you will receive.
02 / YOUR NEXT QUESTIONRead each finding for the location, evidence, priority and recommended next step. A visible condition, a test result and a reported symptom are different kinds of information.
03 / YOUR NEXT QUESTIONStart with the home’s condition and history, not its age alone. Earlier renovations, partial updates and missing records can leave questions that deserve an organized assessment.
04 / YOUR NEXT QUESTIONShare the plan before construction decisions become difficult to change. An assessment can organize questions about existing condition, proposed equipment, access and further design or capacity evaluation.
05 / YOUR NEXT QUESTIONA ground rod, a wire or a three-slot outlet is only one part of the picture. Start with the actual finding: what was observed, what was tested and what remains unanswered?
Tell us the document name, requesting party and deadline. An electrician’s electrical assessment is not automatically a full four-point inspection. The insurer decides whether a document and its signer meet the current requirements.
Citizens’ linked four-point form limits a trade professional’s signature to that trade’s section. Eligibility to document electrical conditions does not establish eligibility to complete all four systems. Ask the office to review the actual request before arranging the service.
Panel-specific insurance findings already have their own guide. Keep the original report and any correction records together. Do not send policy numbers, full reports or private account information in a general inquiry field.

Bring earlier findings, known repairs and plans for new equipment. Let the office know about access restrictions, recent water exposure and any equipment that cannot tolerate an interruption.
Arrange normal, safe access where possible. Leave panel covers, receptacles and wiring untouched. A photo of safely visible equipment can provide context, but it cannot establish electrical safety. This form does not require a photo.
If there is smoke, fire or an immediate threat, move away and call emergency services. Use the existing emergency guide to understand urgent service concerns; do not wait for a routine web-form reply.

Think of this visit as a way to put the electrical questions in order. What can the electrician actually see? Which checks were completed? What still needs an answer? Those details make the findings useful.
The goal is not to put a blanket “safe” stamp on the whole house. A concealed connection, an inaccessible room or an intermittent fault may need a different investigation. A clear limit is useful information, not something to hide in small print.
The next step might be a correction, additional testing, a renovation plan or no further action for the items evaluated. A recommendation is not permission to begin repairs. Review the scope and any charge before authorizing paid work.
A free estimate prices known work. A documented assessment or an investigation of an unknown fault is a different service. Tell the office what you need so the appointment, fee and expected information can be explained before you decide.
A free estimate prices defined work. A hands-off visual look, a documented assessment and paid diagnostics are different scopes. We confirm what your visit includes and any applicable charge before paid work begins.
No. Findings apply to the observations and tests actually completed. Concealed conditions, untested devices and intermittent issues may remain unresolved.
Do not assume so. Tell us the exact document your insurer requested. An electrical assessment does not include the roof, plumbing and HVAC sections of a full four-point report.
Describe the symptom to the office. Finding the cause of a malfunction belongs in electrical diagnostics, which may be the more appropriate service.
Tell us whether you are reviewing an older home, planning a renovation or responding to a written finding. We will help confirm the appropriate visit.
A free estimate prices defined work. A documented assessment or diagnostic investigation may have a charge. We confirm the scope, included information and any charge before paid work begins.
