Understanding Your Generator and Installation Warranties
Your generator equipment and the work used to install it have different warranty responsibilities. Any extended coverage also has its own agreement and eligibility rules. Review the equipment, covered work, conditions and claim process in writing before approving the project.

01 / Generator Warranties
Three documents. Different responsibilities.
Manufacturer equipment coverage, an extended agreement and installation workmanship should be reviewed separately. A term expressed in years does not tell you every covered category or exclusion.
Eligible extended coverage
Your proposal identifies any included purchased 10-year Generac extension and its applicable terms.
Installation workmanship
Mister Safety’s qualifying generator installation coverage is labor-only, separately defined by our warranty policy.

02 / Generator Warranties
The eligible 10-year offer from Mister Safety.
Mister Safety intends to include a purchased 10-year Generac extended limited warranty with eligible standby purchases. Your written proposal must identify the covered equipment and applicable agreement. Eligibility, registration, maintenance requirements and exclusions apply.
Do not assume a national manufacturer promotion defines the company’s purchased extension. The issued terms for your equipment determine the coverage, and routine maintenance is separate.

03 / Generator Warranties
Installation workmanship is covered separately.
For qualifying generator installations, Mister Safety’s workmanship coverage is labor-only under the standard 36-month term. A 12-month discounted-work term applies when disclosed before approval.
This does not create a company equipment-parts warranty or cover unrelated equipment-defect labor. The company warranty page remains the authoritative policy destination.

Questions to answer before purchase.
Ask for the actual documents rather than relying on a badge. The older Guardian warranty linked by the inspected product page uses staged coverage; it cannot establish the terms of a newer cellular model or your extended agreement.
Confirm who handles an equipment claim. Generac dealer status alone does not establish Mister Safety’s authorization to perform manufacturer warranty repairs; that service has not been confirmed.

05 / Generator Warranties
Maintenance remains an ownership obligation.
Keep service records and use the manual that applies to the installed model. A limited warranty is not a maintenance plan, and a monitoring alert is not an automatic repair appointment.
Mister Safety does not currently offer generator maintenance. Arrange qualified care and identify any warranty-service provider as part of the handoff.
