The selected equipment
The model, service compatibility, enclosure and status features affect the proposed device.
The price of a device on a retailer’s shelf is not an installed quote for your home. Define the equipment, the protection layers and the work involved before comparing estimates.
Free estimates for defined installation work. Any paid diagnostic or inspection is explained before approval.
Mister Safety does not publish a universal installed price here because the site conditions and selected equipment have not been assessed. An equipment-only listing cannot account for the actual installation, related work or applicable requirements.
A useful estimate identifies the exact model, the location and number of devices, the work included and any conditions that could require a revised scope. Ask about permit or utility coordination where it applies to the project.
The model, service compatibility, enclosure and status features affect the proposed device.
Panel arrangement, appropriate mounting, accessibility and any necessary related electrical work affect the scope.
A panel device, local A/C protection and selected point-of-use or signal-path work are different inclusions—not interchangeable quotes.
| Ask for | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Exact manufacturer and model | A family name alone does not establish the ratings or warranty. |
| Device locations and protected equipment | “Whole-home” does not tell you whether local A/C or signal-path protection is included. |
| Defined installation scope | Clarifies what work the quoted price covers and how changes will be handled. |
| Permit or utility requirements, when applicable | Requirements depend on the installation and location. |
| Status explanation and documentation | You should know what the visible indication means and keep the product information. |
| Applicable warranty documents | Workmanship, product replacement and connected-equipment programs are separate terms. |
| Any diagnostic or inspection charge | Investigating an unknown fault is different from estimating a defined installation. |
For defined installation or replacement work, a free estimate prices a known scope. For example, you may want to discuss adding panel surge protection and a local device at the A/C.
If lights are flickering, equipment has failed or the supply seems abnormal, someone may first need to determine the cause. That is paid diagnostic work. An inspection is also a separate scope. The applicable fee is explained and approved before that work proceeds.
Installing an SPD is not a substitute for finding and correcting a fault. A proposal can address protection after the underlying concern is understood. Submitting the estimate form does not authorize paid work or confirm an appointment.
A damaged appliance can be expensive, but its replacement cost does not establish a guaranteed financial return from a surge installation. Damage causes, future events and the protection’s limits vary.
Likewise, a manufacturer’s connected-equipment cap should not be subtracted from the installation price as if it were an insurance payout. Conditions, per-item caps, exclusions and deadlines determine whether any reimbursement is available.
The sensible comparison is the protection plan you are buying, the quality and suitability of the installation and the terms you understand—not an invented savings estimate.

Provide your ZIP code, contact details and the equipment you want to protect. Tell us if there is already a surge device or if you are asking about a changed indicator. It is fine if you do not know the model.
You may mention a recent storm or power problem, but do not assume that identifies the cause. If there is an active fault, say so; we can help determine the appropriate next service.
There is no need to remove covers, photograph wiring or perform a test. The form does not require a photo. Existing safe information can start the conversation, and the site conditions can be assessed as needed.
Our office confirms service availability and the next scheduling step. An arrival window describes expected arrival rather than a guaranteed completion time.
Two estimates can say “whole-home surge protection” and still describe different work. One may include a panel device only. Another may include protection at the A/C, a different product and other necessary electrical work. The words on the heading are not enough to compare them.
Ask what exact equipment is included and where it will be installed. Then ask about the total scope, any applicable permit requirements and the warranty documents. You do not need a public materials-and-labor price list to get a clear proposal for your home.
A free estimate is for work that can be defined. If the real question is why something failed or why the power behaves strangely, diagnosis comes first and has a separate charge explained before approval. You should know which kind of visit you are arranging.
Start with the form below or call us. Tell us what you want to protect and whether there is a current problem. We can help define the work so the price answers a useful question.
The installed price depends on the selected device, installation conditions, included layers and related requirements. Request an estimate for the actual scope; a retail device price is not a complete installed quote.
No assumption should be made from the phrase “whole-home.” The proposal should identify each device and the equipment or location it serves.
No. This is a request to discuss the project. Any paid diagnostic or inspection scope and fee must be explained before you approve it.
Tell us whether you want a new installation, a replacement or help with an unexplained problem. Include your service ZIP code.
Unexplained faults need paid diagnostic work. Any diagnostic or inspection fee is explained and approved before that work begins.
